In Session Three you will learn how to combine yoga poses in a sequence using Bodhi Yoga’s Natural Progression™, progressing from beginning to advanced versions of Asanas (yoga poses).  In addition, discover how to safely approach the practice when injured
or use yoga to heal injury and physical limitations in the pose.

You will get the most out of Session Three by pre-reading pages 5-21 and completing the dosha quiz on pages 22-26, as well as reading pages 29, 40-41 and 45-46 in your manual, listening to your “Daily Pranayama Breath Practice” audio CD, and viewing the “Wisdom of Ayurveda” classes in the workshop section here at goyogaonline.com, and reviewing the Bodhi Yoga Natural Progression™ to Asana section on pages 47-83 in your manual (keep in mind that you have the acupressure and karma-point reference in the back of Session Three in your manual as well.  Keep a note pad handy, as you work with practicing the hands on adjusting techniques, to review any questions that arise with Syl by email.  Enjoy!

Session Three:  Online Yoga Teacher Training Discussion Classes 1-12

Discussion – Class 1: WISDOM OF AYURVEDA 
Design classes that are dosha appropriate.  Teaching students to approach yoga using marma points and self-acupressure.

Discussion – Class 2: NATURAL PROGRESSION ASANA
Teaching Yoga sequencing.  Teach students how to move from beginning to advanced poses and class practices.

Discussion Class 3: ACUPRESSURE & MARMAS
Learn basics for using acupressure and Ayurvedic Marma-Point Therapy in your classes and hands-on adjusting.

Discussion Class 4: SHIVA & SHAKTI
Yoga philosophy class about integrating body and mind into a healing awakened yoga approach to life itself.

Class 5: WORKING WITH INJURY Lower-body
Learn a variety of modifications and approaches to teachings students with injuries to foot, ankle, knee and hips.

Discussion – Class 6: WORKING WITH INJURY Upper-body
Variety of modifications and approaches for students with injuries to shoulders, neck and core-body awareness.

Discussion – Class 7: WORKING WITH INJURY Spine
Variety of modifications and approaches for students with injuries to upper and lower back, including Scoliosis.

Discussion – Class 8: INJURY HEALING YOGA
Learn how to handle injuries, mind, body and spirit that arise during class time. Explore the deeper lessons in injury.

Discussion – Class 9: HANDS-ON ADJUSTING INTRO
Introductory discussion on how to set yourself apart as a yoga teacher with inspired hands-on adjusting.

Discussion Class 10: DOSHA HANDS-ON ADJUSTING & ADVANCING KAPHA ASANA
Ayurvedic wisdom that respects the variety of body-types & emotional temperaments.

Discussion Class 11: DOSHA HANDS-ON ADJUSTING & ADVANCING PITTA ASANA
Ayurvedic wisdom that respects the variety of body-types & emotional temperaments.

Discussion Class 12: DOSHA HANDS-ON ADJUSTING & ADVANCING VATA ASANA

Session Three:  Online Yoga Teacher Training Asana Classes 1-8 and Bodhi YTT Manual Follow-up

Each asana class below includes up to five other complimentary poses for combining yoga asanas together, teaching students how to move into more advanced variations of the pose using Bodhi Yoga’s Natural Progression™ teaching technique, and begin understanding more intelligent transitions for moving into and out of each asana.  You’ll love learning hands-on adjusting and discover how to build a variety of classes within each specific yoga pose class focus:

ASANA – Class 1: PRASARITTA
Teaching approach, hands-on adjusting, sequencing and complimentary transitions into and out of the Straddle Forward-fold.

ASANA – Class 2: INTRO TO BALANCING POSES
Introduction to the benefits, purpose and sequencing of balancing poses.

ASANA – CLASS 3: VRKASANA
Teaching approach, hands-on adjusting, sequencing and complimentary transitions into and out of the Tree pose.

ASANA – Class 4: TEMPLE DANCER
Teaching approach, hands-on adjusting, sequencing and complimentary transitions into and out of the Temple Dancer.

ASANA – Class 5: GARUDASANA
Teaching approach, hands-on adjusting, sequencing and complimentary transitions into and out of Eagle Pose.

ASANA – Class 6: ARDHA CHANDRASANA
Teaching approach, hands-on adjusting, sequencing and complimentary transitions into and out of Half Moon.

ASANA – Class 7: VIRABHADRASANA III

Session Three Follow-up

Once you have completed Session Three of the online Bodhi Yoga™ teacher training streaming classes, you will need to complete your Session Three Follow-up and practice teaching feedback forms and place them in the back pocket of your manual, to submit with your certification packet.
